Bed and breakfast accommodation between Wells and Cheddar in the heart of Somerset |
|
YOUR HOSTS Tony’s interests lie in DIY, bell ringing, restoring classic cars, and, when time permits, doing rallies in them. Wild life on the doorstep includes swallows, bats and hedgehogs in the garden and barns. YOUR HOME FROM HOME One of the most unusual features of the house is that it has a double roof - thatch with slates put on at a later date, probably about 150 years ago when the Wells to Cheddar railway line was built, which enabled slate to be transported from South Wales. Outside is the old farm yard and buildings, with a Victorian blacksmith's forge and a very large cider press. We don't make cider any more but the local brew can be obtained locally. |
